Mrs. Sallie Toler Boyd, 87, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pinewood Memorial Park, Greenville.
Mrs. Boyd was a native of Craven County, had lived in Newport News, Va., for a number of years, and later retired to Washington. For the past eight years, she had made her home in Huntersville. She was married to James Tucker Boyd, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Pactolus Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Jane Boyd Alligood of Huntersville and Verna Gay Damouth of Washington; one son, Eric Paul Boyd of Washington; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, James K. “Bud” Boyd.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, Greenville, and after the service at Snowd Branch Church of God near Washington.
