Margaret Sutton Roughton, “Mamal”, 91, of Columbia, N. C. was joined with the Lord, her husband, Cecil R. Roughton and family in heaven on March 22, 2009.
She leaves a loving son, Richard T. Thorne and Clara of Raleigh, N. C., Virginia Sellers and Eric of Chesapeake, Va. ; four grandchildren, Richard T. Thorne, Jr. and Theresa of Chesapeake, Va., Teresa Thompson and Rob of Columbia, John A. Thorne and Jackie of Chesapeake, Va. and Tony Thorpe of Columbia; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and a community of family and friends.
She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bryan Funeral Service-Columbia Chapel. Rev. Ashby Browder will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family received friends on Monday evening between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Service, 162 L.A. Keiser Drive, Columbia.
