Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Weaver Alexander, 83, died Sunday, March 22, 2009, at Oaks Of Carolina Facility in Raleigh.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the family plot in Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Delmus Ayers officiating.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Martin County on July 10, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Andrew Frank and Lucy Thomas Weaver. She was married to Mitchell Holden Alexander, who preceded her in death July 18, 2001. She and her husband owned and operated Alexander Jewelry Store in Bethel for more than 35 years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Cynthia A. Houck of Little River, S.C., and Pam A. Hales of Willow Springs; one sister, Mary Frances Manning of Raleigh; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. Friday at Walker-Ayers Chapel.
