Mr. James Allen Austin, 63, of Bronx, N.Y., died Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in Bronx, N.Y.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday in Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. William F. Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Austin was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 20, 1945. He was the son of the late Isam Austin and Helen Godley. He attended Beaufort County schools. He was married to Julie Mae Austin, who preceded him in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Rose Worsley of Washington and Yolana Austin, Latoya Gardner and Lorraine Lee; two sons, James Austin of Baltimore, Md., and Moses Worsley; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Austin.
The family will receive friends at 430 Windchime Drive, Pactolus community, Greenville.
Viewing will take place today until 7 p.m. at Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
