Mrs. Doris Mae Ange Wynn, age 60, a resident of 10144 US Hwy 17 South, Vanceboro, NC died Monday April 27, 2009 at her home.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday May 2, 2009 at the Jamesville Cemetery officiated by Pastor John Keeter.
Mrs. Wynn was born in Martin County on July 4, 1948 daughter of the late Clifton Linwood Ange and Sallie Mae Roberson Ange who survives. She was a 1966 graduate of Jamesville High School and married Justin Wayne Wynn on December 18, 2003. Mrs. Wynn was a former newspaper delivery person for the Washington Daily News, the Greenville Daily Reflector and the Raleigh News &Observer. She was also self-employed in sales. Mrs. Wynn was a member of Corinth Free Will Baptist Church in Dardens and attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Williamston.
Surviving along with Mrs. Wynn’s husband: Wayne of the home and mother: Sallie Ange of Washington are two daughters: Doris Alligood Fletcher of Greenville and Carrie Alligood Modlin of Washington; a son: James Lawrence “Petey Alligood, III of Washington; two stepdaughters: Sandy Wynn and Wendy Wynn Heckman both of New Bern and six grandchildren. Mrs. Wynn was preceded in death by a sister: Elizabeth Ange Marriner.
The family will receive friends 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and at other times at the home of Mrs. Wynn’s son: James “Petey” Alligood, III located at 1550 Old Bath Hwy., Washington, NC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 3219 Landmark St., Unit 9, Greenville, NC 27834.
