Mrs. Ellen Darlene Jefferson Hamman, age 49, a resident of 1059 Jefferson Rd., Pinetown, died Monday May 4, 2009 at her home.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday May 7, 2009 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Rev. Justin Marker. Phillip Simmons, Jr., Torrey Jefferson, Daniel Paszt, Matthew Clark, William Simmons and Adam Simmons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Hamman was born in Beaufort County on August 20, 1959 to the late Jessie and Lola Jackson Jefferson. She was a graduate of Bath High School, a homemaker and worked as a cook for many years. She was a member of Five Points Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Terry Hamman of the home, three daughters, Hannah Hamman, Bethany Hamman and Autumn Hamman all of the home, one grandson Landon Shiver, three sisters, Faye Paszt and husband Eddie of Pinetown, Lynda Harris and husband Buddy of Washington and Carolyn Simmons and husband Gene of Washington. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ronnie Jefferson.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home, 1059 Jefferson Rd., Pinetown.
