Washington’s Stowe, Elks qualify for regionals

Washington seniors Gray Stowe and Josh Elks will be competing in the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 3-A East Regionals today.
The Pam Pack duo will be participating in the regional meet at Barton College in Wilson.
Washington soccer earns fourth seed
The Washington Pam Pack fell 7-0 to West Carteret in Wednesday’s regular-season Coastal Conference soccer finale.
Washington (4-11-1, 4-9-1) will continue in the playoffs next week. The Pam Pack earned the fourth seed out of the Coastal Conference.
Coach Jimmy Kozuch’s team will play at Currituck, the NE Coastal Conference top seed, in Wednesday’s first-round playoff match.
Southside-Northside postponed
Southside and Northside saw their games get postponed on Thursday.
The Seahawks and Panthers will make up their baseball and softball games on Monday at Southside High School.
Both games will begin at 6 p.m.
