Mr. Paul Darden Walls, age 79, of 107 Village Circle, Washington, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2009 at Alligood Church of God with Rev. Phillip Jethro officiating. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Hubert Cooper, Earl Jordan, Larry Upton, Jr., Ronnie Woolard, Ted Woolard and Toby Woolard will serve as pallbearers. Bill Harris will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Alligood Church of God, 1891 Mill Hole Road, Washington, NC.
Mr. Walls was born in Beaufort County on May 2, 1930 to James Easter and Effie Moore Walls. Paul was a retired carpenter and attended Alligood Church of God. On August 30, 1969 he married Evelyn Rebecca Woolard who survives.
In addition to his wife Mr. Walls is survived by three daughters, Pamela Sheldon and husband Frank of Washington, Kathy Griffin of Gray Court, SC, and Kristi Bass and husband Chad of Washington; two sons, Jody Alligood and wife Linda of Washington and Johnnie Alligood and wife Pam of Irmo, SC; one brother, Plum Walls of Greenville, NC; one sister, Earlene Autry of Newport News, VA, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Thurman Walls and Johnny Walls.
