Christopher Joel “CJ” Rudd, age 18, a resident of 123 Highway 33 West, Chocowinity, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital resulting from injuries in a car accident.
A memorial service for CJ will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2009 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Mike Huppmann officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
CJ was born May 10, 1991 in Jackson County, FL. He was the son of Joel and Cindi Rudd. CJ attended Southside High School. He had many friends and was loved by everyone whose life he touched. He dreamed of seeing the world.
CJ is survived by his parents, Joel and Cindi Rudd of Chocowinity; one sister, Leigha Rudd of Chocowinity; and maternal grandparents, S.E. Taylor and Ruth Taylor of FL.
CJ was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, the Rev. A.E. Rudd, Jr. and Shirley Rudd.
