Mr. Hugh “Carlton” Roebuck, age 70, of 156 McCotters Marina Road, Washington, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at Oakdale Cemetery with Rev. David Thompson officiating.
Mr. Roebuck was born July 25, 1938 in Pitt County to Thomas and Gladys Harris Roebuck. On June 17, 1962 he was married to Geraldine Clark who survives. Mr. Roebuck attended both Martin and Beaufort Community College and was employed as a welder. He retired from Weyerhaeuser Co. after 20 years of service. Carlton was a member of Peace Chapel FWB Church, Washington.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Carla Annette Jennette and husband Sandy of Washington; one brother, Richard A. Roebuck and wife Linda of Greenville; and two granddaughters, Kathryn Ann and Laura Elizabeth Jennette.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Thomas Roebuck.
