Mr. Franklin “Frank” Delano Roosevelt Cooke, age 76, a resident of 1025 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington passed away at his home Thursday, June 18, 2009.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Martin Cemetery, Sweet Home Church Road, Williamston, NC with Donnie Harrison officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2009 at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC and other times at the home.
Mr. Cooke was born November 23, 1932 in Fremont, NC to Walter Hardy and Annie Caraway Cooke. Frank retired from the Mount Olive Pickle Company. On July 3, 1991 he married Clara Lee Cooke. Mr. Cooke was a member of First FWB Church of Goldsboro.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one step daughter, Brenda Lee Barnes of Ayden, one brother, Vernon Ray Cook of Goldsboro and two grandchildren.
