Mr. William Rudolph “Rudy” Mayo, age 60, a resident of 819 Dublin Run Road, Aurora, died Tuesday July 7, 2009 at the Beaufort County Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday July 9, 2009 at the Cuthrell Cemetery at White Hill officiated by Rev. Earl Sadler, Jr. and Rev. Graham Lane.
Mr. Mayo was born in Beaufort County on February 5, 1949, son of the late Jesse Rudolph Mayo and Frances Louise Hudnell Mayo, who survives. He was a graduate of Aurora High School and obtained a business degree from Lenoir Community College. He was a self employed farmer. Mr. Mayo was a member of the Aurora Volunteer Fire Department and was President of the Royal Hunting Club.
In addition to his mother, Frances Mayo, he is survived by his brother: Jesse Steven “Steve” Mayo of Aurora; his sisters: Mary Ellen Galloway and Susan Williamson and her husband, Steve all of Aurora; and his nephews: Jesse Steven Mayo, Jr. and Donnie Williamson.
The family will receive friends at his home located at 819 Dublin Run Road, Aurora.
