Mr. Louis Wendell Swanner, Sr. age 61, a resident of 471 Camp Perry Road, Hertford, N.C., died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City.
A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Everett Cemetery, Everetts Crossroads community, Pinetown, conducted by Pastor Ron Stuart.
Mr. Swanner was born in Norfolk, Va. on July 10, 1948. He was the son of the late Louis Everett Swanner and Thompsie Everett Swanner. Mr. Swanner was disabled. He loved to hunt when his health permitted.
Mr. Swanner is survived by a daughter, Tina Squires and her husband, Eddie of Hertford; a son, Louis Wendell Swanner, Jr. of Hertford; four grandchildren, Joshua Squires, Makayla Squires, Brandon Swanner and Marian Victoria “Tori” Swanner; a sister, Norma Gibbs and her husband, Rom of Jacksonville, N.C. and a companion of the home, Carolyn White.
