Mr. Willie Edward Davis, Jr., age 59, a resident of 3675 Wainwright Road, Jamesville, NC died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Davis was born in Martin County on March 4, 1950 to Willie Edward Davis, Sr. and Martha Holliday Davis who preceded him in death. Willie married Treavlyn Amanda Bland on September 19, 1968. He worked as a truck driver in Aurora for Superior Carriers, Inc. and retired after 17 years due to his declining health. Willie loved his garden, feeding the birds and fishing. He was a member of First FWB Church of Williamston.
In addition to his wife Treavlyn he is survived by one son, Eddie Davis and wife Patty of Washington; one daughter, Sandy Davis Wagg of Washington; two brothers, Buck Davis and wife Pat of Hamilton and Pete Davis and wife Rachael of Williamston; one sister, Madaline Perry and husband Gerald of Williamston; four grandchildren, Douglas Wagg, Charles Jordan, Angel Jordan and Jonathan Davis; and three step grandchildren, Tracy Grant, Brian Viverette and Cassie Harrell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Willie Edward Davis, Jr. Memorial Fund, 3675 Wainwright Road, Jamesville, NC 27846.
