Phillip Bruce “Hippie” Edwards, 58 of Blounts Creek, died September 11, 2009 at home.
He was a member of the Boilermakers Union Local 30 in Greensboro, 108 of Birmingham, AL; He was a Pipefitter for 25 years with the 421 Union in Charleston, SC; as well as a commercial fisherman for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his two beloved dogs Squeaky and Misty.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dorothy “Dee” Edwards; two daughters, Elizabeth and McKinzey Edwards, one step son William Walker and several grandchildren and his beloved dog Ping-Pong.
