Washington tennis wins again|Terra Ceia volleyball wins

The Washington Pam Pack tennis team took an 8-1 win over Williamston on Monday.
Winning in straight sets for Washington (7-0) were Beth Batchelor at No. 1 singles (6-4, 6-2 over Kate Matthews), Hayley Stowe  at No. 2 (over Sara Chesson 6-4, 6-3), D’Lorah Pierce at No. 4 (over Samantha Jones 6-1, 6-3), Tierra Locklear at No. 5 (over Brittany Keener 6-4, 6-1) and Shannon Niederhauser at No. 6 (over Kellen Edwards 6-1, 6-2).
Batchelor/Stowe won 8-6 over Kardson/Edwards at No. 1, Janie Page/Locklear knocked off Jones/Keener 8-3 at No. 2 and Pierce/Niederhauser beat Lynn Davis/Edwards 8-1 at No. 3.
Williamston’s Karson Edwards posted a 6-2, 7-6 (10-6) over Page at No. 3 singles.
“We had a great day of matches today,” Pack coach Michelle Elks said. “Williamston is one of the better teams we have faced all year and gave us some tough matches.”
Winning exhibition matches were Mary Potocki, Mary Margaret Fowle, Samara Romero and Kimberlyn Jones.
Terra Ceia wins
The Terra Ceia Knights picked up a 26-24, 25-10, 25-10 win over Epiphany in Monday’s volleyball action. The Knights (3-5) play at Albemarle today.
