Washinton tennis team stays unbeaten|Tops South Central 8-1

The Washington Pam Pack tennis team remained unbeaten on the year, coasting to an 8-1 win over the South Central Falcons in Tuesday’s Coastal Conference match.
Beth Batchelor got Washington (8-0) off to a hot start with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Molly Hostetler at No. 1 singles.
Hayley Stowe posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over Hannah Hines, Tierra Locklear took down Keely Johanson 6-1, 6-0, Mary Potocki posted a 6-1, 6-0 nod over Mary Conlin and D’Lorah Pierce also notched a win (score not available).
Brittany Brown earned South Central’s lone win, a 4-6, 7-5 (10-5) win over Janie Page.
Washington swept the doubles matches as Batchelor/Stowe defeated Hostetler/Hines 8-4, Page/Locklear beat Brown/Zhu 8-6 and Pierce/Shannon Niederhauser held off Conlin/Macy Crawford.
“The girls went out today very focused and played great tennis,” Washington coach Beth Pippin said. “It was a great feeling to win all three doubles matches.”
Winning exhibitions were Mary Margaret Fowle, Kimberlyn Jones, Erin Stowe, Emily Hodges, Samara Romero and Erica Alligood.
Washington plays at West Carteret on Thursday.
