Mrs. Margaret Lamb Ange, 92, of Jamesville died Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington. Born September 6, 1917 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Lamb and Virginia Baxter Lamb and was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Edward Ange; brothers, Carlton Lamb, Dolphus Lamb and Herbert Lamb; sisters, Idell L. Bagley and Irma L. Chesson. Mrs. Ange was a retired lunchroom staff member with Martin County Schools and was a member of Mount Olive Free Will Baptist Church.
Her family includes her daughters, Margaret J. Simpson, Delorese A. Knott, Beatrice A. Sundeen, Kathy A. Smithwick, all of Jamesville, NC, and Phyllis A. Coltrain of Williamston, NC; sons, Arthur K. Ange, Luther H. Ange, Herbert C. Ange, all of Jamesville, NC, Leonard B. Ange and Phillip E. Ange of Plymouth, NC; sister, Doris L. McNair of Roper, NC; twenty five grandchildren and forty six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Free Will Baptist Church, Plymouth with Reverend Robert Travis officiating. Burial will follow in Ange Town Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, September 18, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Maitland Memorial Chapel, Plymouth and other times at the residence.
Arrangements are by Maitland Memorial Chapel, Plymouth.
