ESPN reported Thursday morning that East Carolina had received verbal commitments from recruits Terry Williams and Airyn Willis.
The 6-foot, 250-pound Williams is an inside linebacker from Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga, while Willis is a 6-2, 175-pound receiver from Southwest Guilford High School in High Point.
Williams, a 2010 recruit, is projected as either a linebacker or a defensive lineman in college.
Williams was named to his all-county team as a junior as he racked up 96 tackles and six sacks. As a sophomore, Williams wrapped up 106 ball-carriers and recorded 15 tackles for a loss.
Pirates fans will have to wait another year before they can see what Willis looks in a purple and gold uniform. The 2011 recruit appears to have the physical tools to be a solid receiver, as he is 6-2, 175 pounds and according to Yahoo!Sports runs a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash and has a 36-inch vertical jump.
The junior is currently averaging 112 rushing yards per game and while tallying 12 receiving yards per contest for the Southwest Guilford Cowboys who are 3-4 (4-A).
Willis has also drawn interest from Duke, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Maryland.
