Mrs. Alma Kathryn Adams Allen, age 83, a resident of 6742 NC Hwy. 99 N. Pantego, died Thursday, October 29, 2009.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Davis Cemetery and will be conducted by Linwood Adams. Bob Adams, Wade Allen, Jerry Giles, James Paul Allen, Junior Joyner and Marvin Smith will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Allen was born in Lenoir County February 9, 1926 to the late Joseph Jeremiah Adams and Carrie Eliza Long Adams. She was a graduate of Pantego High School and was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ. On July 8, 1947 she married Harold Cleveland Allen who preceded her in death on February 13, 2004.
Survivors include her daughter; Polly Adams and husband Ricky of Belhaven, two sons: Jerry Allen of the home and Clayton Allen and wife Terry of Raleigh, three grandchildren: Justin Adams, Rebecca Adams, Tammy Perry and one sister: Verldine Davis of Greenville. She was preceded in death by one sister: Margie Paul.
