CHOCOWINITY — Mr. Phillip G. Buck, 58, died Sunday, November 1, 2009.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Buck was a native of Beaufort County. He spent his youth in Pitt County, and was a graduate of Chicod High School. He was employed with Roberts Company as a licensed electrician and job foreman. Mr. Buck an avid hunter and fisherman, was a member of the Mills Hunting Club in Craven County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Pansy Mills Buck.
He is survived by his: wife of 22 years, Marie Midyette Buck; daughters, Tisha Smith, of Spring Hope, and Hope Taft, of Winterville; step-daughter, Dena Sawyer and husband, Randy, of Washington; step-son, David Jones, of Chocowinity; sister, Murdene B. Bailey and husband, John, and Debra B. Page and husband, Phil, all of Black Jack; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and
a step great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Black Jack Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 2581 Black Jack-Grimesland Rd., Greenville, NC 27858.
