The Washington’s soccer season came to an end in Saturday’s second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association Class 3-A state playoffs.
The 11th-ranked Rocky Mount Gryphons (20-3-2), the second seed out of the Big East Conference, took a 3-1 win over the Pam Pack.
Washington, the fifth seed from the Coastal Conference, finished with an 11-11-1 record.
