Mrs. Tillie Woolard Boyd, age 77, a resident of 903 East 8th Street, Washington, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Beaufort County Medical Center in Washington.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Boyd Family Cemetery, Mill Hole Road, Washington.
Tyler Woolard, Chad Woolard, Danny Bright, Isaac Boyd, Jimmie Boyd and Keith Woolard will serve as pallbearers. Bossy Asby will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. Boyd was born in Beaufort County on November 4, 1932. She was the daughter of the late James Henry Woolard and Willie Mae Woolard. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker. She was married to Marvin Nicholson Boyd, who preceded her in death, December 1, 1980.
Mrs. Boyd is survived by a son, Bobby Boyd of Straits, N.C.; two daughters, Emma and Gail Boyd both of Washington; one brother, Ricky Woolard of Washington; one sister, Olga Mae Walters of Chesapeake, Va.; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by a son, Marty Boyd; a daughter, Jo Ann Boyd; a brother, Don Woolard; and two sisters, Glenda (Pug) Jones and Vivian Winstead.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington and other times at the home of her daughter, Emma Boyd, 1640 Braddy Road, Washington.
