Mrs. Clara Bell Holley Small, 91, of 4245 N.C. Highway 32 North, Plymouth, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009 at Plumblee Nursing Center.
A funeral will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Second Zion Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Hubert Judon officiating. Burial will follow in Second Zion Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Small was born on May 27, 1918 in Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Holley and Sarah Leathers Holley. She was a member of Second Zion Grove Baptist Church where she served as Church Mother and member of the Senior Choir. She was married to Albert Sidney Small who survives. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband: Albert Sidney Small of the home; two sons: Albert Sidney Small, Jr., Newark, NJ, Clarence Edward Small, Greensboro; four daughters: Annie S. Davenport, Plymouth, Barbara Small, Plymouth, Sarah Swinney, Hartsville, SC, Geraldine Taylor-Mason, Williamston; sister: Chester Small, Plymouth; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Second Zion Grove Baptist Church and other times at the home.
