Tigers sweep Panthers|Paschal honored for scoring over 2,500 points

WILLIAMSTON Katie Paschal, who was honored prior to Mondays game for eclipsing the 2,500-point mark in her high school career, scored 35 points in three quarters to lead the Williamston Tigers to a 77-45 win over Northside.
Paschal and her Tigers (12-0, 7-0) jumped out to a 19-0 lead in the first quarter. The future East Carolina Lady Pirate spearheaded the attack with nine points.
The Williamston senior finished with 11 in the first quarter, as the Tigers held an early 24-6 lead over the Panthers (8-5, 1-4).
Paschal and the Tigers continued to pour it on in the second quarter, going up 38-18 at the half. The scoring machine had 21 at the break.
Paschal scored 14 more in the third quarter as the Tigers held a commanding 63-35 advantage. She didnt play in the fourth.
Northsides Jordan Woolard did all she could to keep her team competitive, getting inside for a number of baskets in the third quarter. Woolard finished with 11 points to match Rebeka Bonney for team-high honors.
Zakkeya Morris added 11 points for Williamston, which had 12 players find the scoring column.
TIGERS CRUISE
Quamaine Anderson led 12 Williamston players in the scoring column with 12 points, as the Tigers cruised to a 76-28 win over Northside.
Williamston (9-4, 5-2) also got 11 points from Ranalle Lanier and 10 apiece from Kiyon Coffield and Demonte James.
Northside (5-8, 3-2), which got eight points apiece from Isaiah McCullor and Parrish Weston, never could get anything going offensively.
The Tigers held a 19-10 lead after the first quarter, then outscored the Panthers 20-7 in both the second and third quarters to build a 59-24 advantage.
Coffields huge slam along the baseline helped the Tigers use a 9-0 run to build a comfortable 24-10 second-quarter lead.
Williamston just piled on from there.
