R. Joe Kilby, age 70, of Paradise, PA formerly of Dover, DE and Bayview, NC passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. He was the husband of Lin Kilby with whom he celebrated 32 years of marriage on August 20th of last year. He was born in Raleigh, NC, son of the late V.R. &Margaret Boyden Kilby. Joe worked for DNREC for the state of Delaware for 32 years retiring in 1993. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science degree and Del Tech with an Associates degree in Environmental Science. While living in Bayview Joe enjoyed crabbing and fishing nets on his beloved Pamlico River. Surviving besides his wife are 4 children: Jeni wife of Britt Alligood of Washington, NC, Mandi Kilby at home, Bart husband of Jenn Kreiser Kilby of Leola, Caitlin wife of Gary Gerald of Crisfield, MD, 5 grandchildren: Madi, Lane, Kasey, Abi and Edan.
