GREENVILLE — East Carolina just may have found its new football coach.
Ruffin McNeill, a former Texas Tech defensive coordinator, is expected to be named the new head coach.
The Pirates are looking to replace Skip Holtz, who left to become the head coach at the University of South Florida.
The executive committee of ECU’s Board of Trustees was scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. to approve the hire, and an official announcement was expected a short time later.
McNeill is a 1980 graduate of ECU.
