Ruby Mae Williams, age 81, a former resident of 106 Village Circle and most recently Britthaven of Washington, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor Phillip Jethro officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Craig Latham, Dale Latham, Josh Latham, Lee Latham, Shannon Latham and Justin Mitchell will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Highway 264 East, Washington, NC.
Ms. Williams was born in Wayne County on January 21, 1929 to Robert Paul and Penny Powell Williams. Ruby was a homemaker and a past member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ.
She is survived by four sons, Bonner Lee Latham and wife Lisa, Phillip Paul Latham and wife Peggy, Kenneth Dale Latham all of Washington and Lance Craig Latham and wife Agnes of Lusby, MD, one brother, Robert Floyd Williams and wife Janice of New Bern, ten grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Bonner Latham, four sisters, Christine W. Kite, Virginia Williams Stone, Rosalie Williams Jones and Jessie W. Burton.
