Mr. Warren Kermit Allen, Jr., age 59, a resident of 427 Belhaven Square, Belhaven, NC died Monday morning March 1, 2010 at Pungo District Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday March 4, 2010 at Union Grove Church of Christ officiated by Scott Askew and Bob Beltz. Burial will follow at a later date in Davis Cemetery.
Mr. Allen was born in Beaufort County on November 30, 1950, son of the late Warren K. Allen, Jr. and Olive Rose Allen. He was a 1968 graduate of Pantego High School, a graduate of Pitt Community College and Beaufort Community College. He was a former carpenter, welding instructor at Beaufort Community College, underwater welding instructor at Pitt Community College and a farmer. Mr. Allen was a member of West Belhaven Church of Christ.
He is survived by his sons: Warren “Kermit” Allen, III of Washington and Joshua Cole Allen of Greenville, his sisters: Phrocene Allen and her husband Jay and Brenda Hamilton and her husband Ray all of Pantego, Mary Allen of Raleigh and Kay Miller and her husband Joe of Virginia Beach, VA, his grandchildren: Isabella Allen, Anthony Allen, Jakob Allen and Lillie Allen and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Norma Bowen.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
