Mr. Ray England Hinsley, age 78, a resident of 141 Chesterfield Drive, Washington, died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at First Church of Christ, Washington, conducted by Ray West and Steve Hill. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
The following will serve as pallbearers: J.C. Burnette, Keith Wallace, Ronnie Harris, Keenan Woolard, Johnny Woolard, and Tommy Chandler.
Mr. Hinsley was born in Salado, Texas on August 4, 1931. He was the son of the late Dean Corbin Hinsley and Laura England Hinsley. Mr. Hinsley worked in management at Zales Jewelry for 20 years. He served in the National Guard and was a member of First Church of Christ.
On August 23, 1958, Mr. Hinsley married the former Betty Jane Cobb, who survives.
Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Barbara Lee and husband, Brad of Aurora; two sons, Michael Hinsley and wife Connie of Charlotte, Larry Hinsley and wife, Louise of Washington; a brother, J.D. Hinsley of Salado, Texas; and four grandchildren, twin granddaughters, Madison and Christina Hinsley, John Hinsley and Marshall Lee.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hinsley was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Clark.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
