Mr. Darwin Francis Trimm, age 80, a resident of Washington, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, with Danny Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1732 North Market Street, Washington, NC.
Mr. Trimm was born in St. Lawrence County, NY on December 8, 1929 to Harold and Eudoro Dickinson Trimm. On September 30, 2000 he married Janis Rutledge Trimm who survives. Darwin was a bus driver, retiring from Greyhound in 1986. He was a loving husband who loved life. Darwin enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was an active member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was also a member of Amalgamated Transit Union.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Deborah Kraus and husband Al of Rochester, NY, his sons, Dan and Dale Trimm both of Richmond, VA, his brothers, Don Trimm and wife Evelyn of Ogdensburg, NY and Derl Trimm and wife Trisha of Mena, AR, and his sister, Nellie Winters and husband Fay of Lisbon, NY.
