Mrs. Dollie H. Hopkins

Mrs. Dollie H. Hopkins, age 92, a resident of 135 Muddy Creek Rd., Aurora, died Monday April 19, 2010 at Beaufort County Medical Center.
Graveside services will 1:00 pm Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at White Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery and will be conducted by Rev. Phillip Lewis.
Mrs. Hopkins was born in Pamlico County on December 18, 1917 to the late James and Brittie Jones Hopkins. On May 26, 1935, she was married to the late James Foy Hopkins. She worked in commercial fishing with her husband for many years and also worked as a seamstress. Mrs. Hopkins was a member of Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church of South Creek.
Survivors include one daughter, Bonnie Journell of Millboro, Virginia; one sister, Lela H. Jarvis of Norfolk, Virginia; six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, James Larry Hopkins; two grandchildren, Robert Kent Equils and Joseph James Hopkins; one brother, Jasper Hopkins and seven sisters, Sidney Everett, Brittie Roscoe, Louise Squires, Molly Drake, Annie Manker, Montisa Rollins and Molissa Toler.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday April 20, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home of Viola Hopkins, 120 Pungo View Rd., Belhaven.
