Mrs. Verdonia Fay Lane Gaskill, age 74, died Monday, April 5, 2010, at Ridgewood Manor of Washington, NC.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday April 24, 2010, at the Fulcher Cemetery, on Mary’s Chapel Church Road in Edward, and will be conducted by Tony Congleton.
Mrs. Gaskill was born on September 26, 1936, to the late Alvis Sylvester Lane and Jane Melissa Harris Lane. She was a 1955 graduate of Aurora High School. On July 8, 1955, she married James Edward Gaskill, who preceded her in death on September 24, 2001. Mrs. Gaskill was a member of the Washington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Gaskill was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Lane.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1732 North Market Street, Washington, NC 27889.
