Miss Mary Elizabeth Dupree, age 93, a resident of Britthaven of Williamston died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Martin General Hospital in Williamston.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington officiated by Minister Cliff Britton. Joseph Gibson, Ernest Respass, Kevin Respass, Terry Respass, Dave Moore and Mark Ruffin will serve as pallbearers. Johnnie Respass, Travis Respass, Larry Respass will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Miss Dupree was born on October 6, 1916, daughter of the late Samuel Redmond Dupree and Rosa Waters Dupree. She had lived at Britthaven of Williamston for many years where the staff and residents are members of her extended family.
Miss Dupree is survived by a sister; Dorothy Dupree Gibson of Franklin, Va. and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers; Ernest Leroy Dupree, Samuel Redmond Dupree, Jr. and Charles Allen Dupree and one sister; Opal Dupree Respass.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 15, 2010 prior to the service from 12:45 p.m.-1:45 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home of Washington.
