William “Bernie” Crisp, Jr., age 58, a former resident of 220 Waterford Place, Washington, died Saturday May 15, 2010.
A celebration of life will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the home of Lewis and Renee Young, 121 Dogwood Trail, Macswoods of Washington.
Mr. Crisp was born in Beaufort County on April 26, 1952 to the late William Bernis Crisp, Sr. and Estelle Jackson Crisp. On June 11, 1980 he married Cynthia Lou Elks who survives. He was a 1970 graduate of Chocowinity High School and for 10 years was employed as a truck driver with B.E. Singleton &Sons Inc. Bernie loved drag racing and spending time with his grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Elks Crisp of the home; one son, William “Will” Crisp, III and wife Jenna of Washington; one grandson, Ethan Allen Crisp; one granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Gaskins; two sisters-in-law, Renee Young and husband Lewis of Washington, Suzanne Elks Moore of Washington; three nieces, Maddy Young, Ginny Boyer, Catherine Moore and one nephew, Graham Young. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Crisp.
