Mrs. Annie S. Saleeby

Mrs. Annie Saliba Saleeby, age 91, a resident of 1498 N. Market St., Washington, died Thursday June 3, 2010.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday June 5, 2010 at Oakdale Cemetery and will be conducted by Father Kevin Johnson.
Mrs. Saleeby was born in Dothan, Alabama on November 11, 1918 to the late Abe and Rose Saliba. She was a graduate of Dothan High School and was the class historian. She loved sports including tennis, basketball and swimming. On November 11, 1942 she married Nick N. Saleeby who preceded her in death on October 30, 2009. Mrs. Saleeby was co-owner of the Charcoal House Restaurant in Washington for 45 years and owned and operated with her husband, the Saleeby Restaurant in Chocowinity. She was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Washington.
Survivors include one daughter, Nickie Ann S. Pittman and husband William of Washington; two sons, Abe N. Saleeby and wife Beverlee Jean of Washington, William Michael Saleeby and wife Ellen of Morehead City; two grand-daughters, Bobbie Ann Saleeby and Laura Ellen Saleeby and two sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and two sisters-in-law.
The family will receive friends at the home.
