Mrs. Dicie Boyd Mills

Mrs. Dicie Boyd Mills, 86, passed away Friday, June 4, 2010 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Mills was a native and life long resident of the Ham's Crossroads community of Pitt County. She attended Grimesland School and worked at the Washington Garment Company for a number of years. She was a member of Black Jack Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and was active in the Embroiderers' Guild. Mrs. Mills spent many enjoyable hours tending to her flowers.
Mrs. Mills was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse H. and Martha Bell Boyd, husband, Lloyd “Buddy” Mills in 2003, and son-in-law, Eddie Williams in 2009.
She is survived by: sons, William Mills and wife, Alma, of Greenville, and Charles Mills and wife, Faye, of Battleboro, NC; daughter, Darlene Mills Williams, of Greenville; brother, Billy Boyd and wife, Alicia, of Alexandria, VA grandchildren, Sheryl Mills Watkins and husband, Todd, of Arlington, Texas, Melinda Mills, of Arlington, Texas, Patrick Mills and wife, Treva, of Greenville, NC, Davis Williams and wife, Ellie, of Raleigh, NC; step-granddaughter, Teresa Horne and husband, Michael, of Kenly; seven great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home and at other times at her home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pew Cushion Fund at Black Jack Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 2581 Black Jack-Grimesland Rd., Greenville, NC 27858.
