Sarah Bergevin, 94, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010.
Sarah was born on September 6, 1915 in Matherville, IL, the daughter of Robert and Josephine Cameron. She married Willfred Bergevin in November 1934 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in February 1985.
Sarah was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family. She was a member of Christ the King Parish and also enjoyed swimming, boating, flowers, reading, and sitting in her yard swing watching people go by.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert; and two infant grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Raymond (wife, Terri) Bergevin of Washington, NC; her daughter, Barbara (husband, Al) Speck of Springfield; six grandchildren, Randy, David, Douglas and Steve, all of Springfield, and Michelle and Daniel of NC; and seven great grandchildren.
The family of Sarah Bergevin is being served by Kirlin-Egan &Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
Cremation was accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 1930 Barberry, Springfield
