Mr. Donald G. Roberson, 78, of 190 Worsley Road, Washington, N.C., died July 24, 2010.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2010, St. John Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, with Elder Russell S. Wilkins, Pastor officiating. Burial, Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington, N.C.
Donald was born February 28, 1932. He was the son of the late Frank &Roberta Hodges. He affiliated with the St. John Church during his youth. He was retired from the City of Washington, after twenty four years of employment. For fifty years he worked with several community farmers.
On November 5, 1952, Donald and Chloe Corey were married. Chloe preceded him in death along with three daughters, Queenie, Jaunita and Lou; five sisters and a brother.
Surviving are two daughters, Myra and Cecelia Roberson; two sons, Delbert and Marcus Roberson; a brother, Cledie Roberson; two sisters-in-law, Helen Roberson and Wanda Corey.
The family is receiving friends at the home.
