B. Linwood Waters

Mr. Bonner Linwood Waters, age 91, a resident of 8160 Broad Creek Road, Washington, NC died Friday July 30, 2010 at the Beaufort County Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday August 1, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington officiated by Tony Krantz. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Charles Alligood, Ronald Alligood, Roland Alligood, Jimmy Harris, Eddie Smith and Jimmy Hardy will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Waters was born in Beaufort County on May 31, 1919 son of the late Bonner Isaiah Waters and the late Edith Cutler Waters. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Waters married the former Frances Latham on September 20, 1947 who preceded him in death on February 28, 1987. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Weyerhaeuser Co. He was a member of Beaver Dam Church of Christ where he was a former Deacon. Mr. Waters was a former member of the Tau Tribe # 18 Red Men's Lodge, the Bunyan Ruritan Club and the Charitable Brotherhood Lodge.
Survivors include a daughter: Patsy W. Alligood and her husband Wilber of Washington; three sons: Moye Timothy “Tim” Waters and his wife Lisa of Washington, David Holton Waters of Charlotte and Eric A Waters and his wife Yvonne Selby of Cary; a sister Johnie Harris of Washington; two grandchildren: Craig Sawyer of Greenville and Latham Waters of Washington. Mr. Waters was preceded in death by two sisters: Alta Mae Alligood and Lola Alligood and a brother: Dennis Waters.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. Sunday till the funeral hour at Paul Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. Waters' son, Tim located at 8012 Broad Creek Road, Washington, NC.
Flowers are welcome and the family kindly asks that any memorial contributions be made to Beaver Dam Church of Christ, 5125 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC 27889.
