Mrs. Mary Bell Corey Perry, age 94, a resident of 2738 Gallberry Road, Washington died Friday, August 6, 2010 at her home.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, August 8, 2010 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, conducted by Rev. Donald Jones.
Mrs. Perry was born in Martin County on January 9, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Abe Corey and Betty Roberson Corey. Mrs. Perry was a homemaker. She was a member of the Maple Grove Christian Church.
On April 8, 1938, Mrs. Perry married John David “J.D.” Perry, who preceded her in death, April 18, 1968.
Mrs. Perry is survived by one son, Jimmie Perry and wife, Karen of Washington; four daughters, Melba Perry of Jamesville, Ann Moore and husband, Ronald of Washington, Geraldine Carawan and husband, Windell of Washington, Juanita Tripp and husband, David Tripp, Sr. of Chocowinity; daughter in law, Gail Perry of Washington; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Betty Corey; husband, John David “J.D.” Perry; son, Harrell Perry; son in law, Marvin Perry; three brothers, and three sisters.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Paul Funeral Home, Washington and other times at the home, 2738 Gallberry Road, Washington.
