Raymond P. Brooks Jr., age 48, a resident of 6446 Kelly Road, Bath, NC died Monday, August 9, 2010, as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at St. Clair’s Church of Christ in Bath, NC, officiated by Craig Hagen. Burial will follow at St. Clair’s Church of Christ cemetery. The family received friends at Hillside Funeral Service of Washington, on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and other times at the home.
Raymond was born on March 10, 1962 in Macomb County, MI, son of the late Raymond Peter Brooks Sr. and Barbara Smith Brooks-Barr, who survives. He married Ronda Pishnock on April 9, 1994.
Ray-Ray was a commercial fisherman and carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and fun with family and friends. Ray-Ray was also a member of the St. Clair’s Church of Christ in Bath.
Along with his mother, Barbara and step-father, Charles Barr Sr., he is survived by his wife, Ronda Pishnock Brooks of Bath, NC; two sons, Jonathon and Steven Brooks of Bath, NC; four sisters, Debbie Wilkins and husband, Curtis of Bath, NC, Lorri Moree of Bath, NC, Dawn Credle and husband, Keith of Belhaven, NC and Kelley Franks and husband, Patrick of Bath, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
