Mrs. Jo Ann Warren Banks, age 71, a resident of 6926 Hwy 43 South, Greenville, NC died Saturday August 14, 2010 at her home.
A graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday August 16, 2010 at Oakdale Cemetery of Washington.
Mrs. Banks was born in Pitt County on July 19, 1939 daughter of the late Albert Thomas Warren Jr. and the late Mary Irma Cherry Warren. She was a graduate of Washington High School who married Lloyd Roosevelt Banks who preceded her in death. Mrs. Banks was a retired Secretary with the Beaufort County Extension Office and later retired as an assembler with Roberk Co. in Vanceboro, NC.
Survivors include a daughter: Cynthia B. Morris of Greenville; two sons: Phillip A Watson of Greenville and Donald E. Banks of Chocowinity; a brother: James Warren of Washington; a sister: Frances W. Williams of Washington; seven grandchildren: Joey Hodges, Justin Morris, Paula Watson, Torie Watson, Allen Watson, Cathy Banks and Ashley Louis Banks and nine great grandchildren. Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Holt Warren, Sr.
The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Banks’ daughter Cynthia Morris located at 2596 Pine Water Lane, Greenville, NC.
