WASHINGTON — Mr. Douglas L. Holton, 63, died Monday, August 16, 2010.
The funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Holton, a Pitt County native, was a United States Army veteran. He was employed by Burroughs Wellcome for a number of years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Harvest Church in Washington.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Douglas Holton.
He is survived by his: wife of almost 35 years, Anne G. Holton; son, Joshua Charles Holton and wife, Jessica, of Asheville; granddaughters, Abbigael Lynn and Grace Marie, of Asheville; parents, Hubert and Virginia Holton, of Greenville; and a sister, Vivian Holton, of Charleston, SC.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
