Mr. Kenneth Ernest Stephens, age 65, a resident of 128 Paddle Wheel Circle, Pamlico Plantation, Washington, died Friday Sept. 3, 2010.
Mr. Stephens was born in Hartford, Conn. on Oct. 2, 1944 to the late Kenneth and Stella Stephens. On April 1, 1966 he married Eileen Frances Maher who survives and who he loved traveling and boating with around the country. He was an electrician for twenty years and taught electrical services for twenty years. He was a member of Wanoca Presbyterian Church, was an avid boater, racing fan, enjoyed camping and was very happy with living in Washington, North Carolina after his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Eileen M. Stephens; two sons, Kenneth Stephens of Boston, Massachusetts, Kevin Stephens of Chandler, Arizona; one daughter, Kathleen Stephenson of Columbia, South Carolina and three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nathanial and Micah Ann.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wanoca Presbyterian Church, 921 E. Sixth St., Washington, N.C. 27889 or to the charity of one’s choice.
