Benjamin Carroll Adams, 56, of Newport, NC, formerly of Pantego, NC, passed away September 13, 2010 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC.
Born in Belhaven, NC, on June 7, 1954, he was the son of the late Stafford Benjamin and Nellie Bullock Adams.
Three brothers surviving are Kenneth Adams and wife Joetta, Don Adams, Sr., and Dennis Adams, all of Chocowinity. His brother-in-law, Frank Cashion of Chocowinity, also survives.
Benji was preceded in death by his sister Christine Adams Cashion of Chocowinity and brother Bryon Lane Adams of Kenansville.
His surviving nieces and nephews are Sharon Cashion Tyer, David Cashion, Don Adams, Jr., Jenny Adams Bush, Kelly Adams Cannefax, Rebecca Adams Owensby, Megan Adams, and Devon Adams. He also had 13 great nieces and nephews and many special aunts and uncles.
Also surviving is his best friend and caregiver, Will Russell of Newport, NC.
A celebration of his life is being planned and will be announced.
