Joseph C. Surratt, IV, 29, passed away on Wednesday at his residence in Ayden.
Joseph was born in Wayne County to Joseph C. Surratt, III and Anita Sheppard Surratt. He was a 1999 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School and had attended Pitt Community College. He worked as a manager at Parker’s Barbecue in Greenville.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after the service.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Juliana Surratt of Goldsboro; his brother, Jeremy Surratt of Savannah, GA; and his grandmothers, Shirley Surratt of Goldsboro and Helen Johnson of Washington, NC.
