Kenneth Edward Brickhouse, 63, of Columbia died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City.
Born September 16, 1947 in Tyrrell County, he was the son of the late Kenneth O. Brickhouse and Learolean Sawyer Brickhouse and was preceded in death by his brother, Gaius O. Brickhouse. Edward was a self-employed truck driver and attended Sandy Acres Free Will Baptist Church.
His family includes his daughter, Geneva Ann Brickhouse and fiancé Robby of Columbia, N.C.; son, Teddy Witham of Rich Square, N.C.; sisters, Wanda B. Phelps, Mary B. Ambrose and Alicia B. Davenport of Creswell, N.C.; brother, David W. Brickhouse of Columbia, N.C.; grandchildren, Lydia Anne Gray and Robert James Gray.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell. Family will receive friends following the service and other times at his brother, David’s residence. Flowers are welcomed or donations may be made to a charity of choice.
