Sheriff’s office investigating Bath man’s death as a homicide

The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a Bath man as a homicide, according to sheriff’s Capt. Kenny Watson.
Leonard Alfred Willson III was discovered dead in his residence at 115 S. Main St. by deputies after noon Thursday, Watson said.
The sheriff’s office responded the Wilson’s residence after receiving a telephone call from one of Wilson’s neighbors, Watson said. Willson was wheelchair-bound, according to some media reports.
The sheriff’s office is proceeding with its investigation, he said.
Authorities were awaiting results of an autopsy, which could determine the cause of death.
