Mrs. Edna Williams ONeal, age 93, a resident of 26915 US Hwy 264 East, Belhaven, NC died Saturday October 9, 2010 at the Pungo District Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday October 12, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven officiated by Glenn Waters, Minister. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. Mrs. ONeals grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Curt Mackey will serve as honorary pallbearer.
Mrs. ONeal was born in Hyde County on November 17, 1916, daughter of the late Carlos Whamwick Williams and the late Annie Spencer Williams. She married Frederick Maxville ONeal who preceded her in death. Mrs. ONeal was an Avon representative in the Pantego and Pungo area and obtained Avons honors club status which awarded her with a trip to Monte Carlo. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and friends.
Surviving are children: Mildred ONeal Mills and her husband L.C. of Washington and Max ONeal and his wife Mary Lou of Belhaven; six grandchildren: Jason ONeal of Wake Forest, Jenny ONeal of Raleigh, Selena ONeal of Las Vegas, NV, Freddie Clayton of Greenville, Eddie Clayton of Pinetown and Teddy Clayton of Washington and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. ONeal was preceded in death along with her parents and husband by a son: Douglas Murray ONeal; a grandson: Eric Daniel Clayton; a brother: Clafton Williams and a sister: Mary Williams.
The family will receive friends 7: 00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday October 11, 2010 at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.
